Rick A. Mars

Dr. Rick Mars was born and raised in North Miami Beach. After graduating from North Miami Beach Senior High School, he attended Emory University continuing to Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He then returned to Miami in 1988 to join The Dental Care Group, where he was a patient as a child and has been practicing ever since.

Some would consider Dr. Mars an expert on modern dentistry and Invisalign and someone who puts his patients first. He understands that behind every smile is a person, and he strives to provide the best care for each one of his patients. In addition to providing excellent dental care, Dr. Mars wants his patients to be informed and empowered to make the best treatment decisions and builds long-lasting relationships based on trust. He genuinely cares about his patient’s well-being, which is reflected in everything he does in and out of his office.

As a hometown boy, Dr. Mars is passionate about giving back to his community. He has coached hundreds of local youth in little league baseball and basketball. He was two-time president of Beth Torah and a board member of Michael Ann Russell JCC and Greater Miami Jewish Federation. He and his wife Alison also co-founded a Solomon Schecter Day School, later known as Hochberg Prep. During the pandemic, Dr. Mars and Alison started Feeding Friends, a charity designed to help feed the neediest families. He is currently on the Board of Trustees at Aventura Hospital. As the president of the Dental Care Group, he initiated Dentistry from Our Hearts, an annual free day of dentistry that his team has provided for the needy of South Florida for the last 10 years.

Dr. Mars is an award-winning international speaker who was voted Speaker of the Year for Invisalign in 2019. Dr. Mars was also voted one of America’s Top Dentists for Invisalign, cosmetic, and implant dentistry by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. In 2020, Dr. Mars released his first book, The Big Smile: The Principles of Modern Dentistry for Dentists and Patients.

Despite his accomplishments, Dr. Mars is the proudest of his family. He has been married to Alison for 32 years and is the father to Zachary, Blake, and Cory, who are each leaving a mark on their communities both personally and professionally.
