Oenophiles, rejoice! Vinya, a novel sommelier-driven wine retailer and wine bar concept, will debut its first brick and mortar location in Key Biscayne (328 Crandon Blvd #122 -123). Developers Nicholas Garcia, acclaimed sommelier Allegra Angelo, and Mauricio Garavano imagined a locale that enabled wine lovers to gain access to an assortment of unique and traditional wines, monthly subscription boxes, and expert advice for tasting notes and at-home tasting experience.

“Our brand is about connectivity with our consumers and our Vinya community through the world of wine,” said CEO Nicholas Garcia. “Going beyond  the traditional wine store experience, Vinya offers a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons that includes a wine bar, classes, subscription boxes, and in-house sommelier to help guide the experience. We are committed to offering a personal touch for all of our customers whether they be in person or digitally.

The 3,200-square-foot location will boast an array of wines, a marketplace, and a 10-seat wine bar. On select evenings, a bartender will oversee the wine bar and offer cocktails. Vinya will also host weekly wine tasting classes in the tasting room and test kitchen space with seating for 12, along with virtual tastings.

Vinya’s wine collection and programming is overseen by award-winning in-house sommelier Allegra Angelo, who has developed more than 20 wine and spirit programs across the country. Angelo is not only responsible for the brand’s outstanding wine selection, but for the immersive in-person and virtual wine experiences.

“At Vinya, my role is to be everyone’s personal sommelier. To me, premium wine and its experience doesn’t have a price tag. Whether you’re shopping under $20 or over $200, value lives everywhere — it’s my job to find it, say it, tell it, and pass on the goodness,” said Angelo. “My customers mean the world to me, and I hope to share with them the joy of wine (and spirits) through education, innovation, honesty and above all, enthusiasm.”
