Unforgettable Shopping Experience Across Miami

These days, the art of shopping is changing and it’s more about retail customer “experiences.” Here, we’ve rounded up some ways to enjoy experiential shopping, along with places where food and drinks meet fashion for a trendy refuel.

Fashion on the Move. For a you-never-know-who-you-will-discover experience, follow The Bungalow Bazaar, a traveling boutique created and curated by Dana Goldberg. The pop-up specializes in women’s resort wear from emerging designers, and Goldberg works with a rotation of carefully selected designers like Wanderlust Tulum, Just Bee Queen, Poska Resortwear and Erika Peña. Because she’s fully mobile, Goldberg can set up shop anywhere and is often found at events hosted by luxury hotels, resorts, private homes and real estate developments all over South Florida. This year, she expanded to major fashion cities like Los Angeles and New York, and with more than 7,500 active email subscribers, she’s currently building a database to offer a tailored subscription model. “It’s a very personal experience. I can meet with the client, or even video conference with them to understand their style and their personalized needs,” says Goldberg. “Clients can have me pull something from their closet to style them for an event or I’ll send them a personalized box of clothing once a month with no obligation to buy.” Goldberg has spent more than 30 years in the fashion industry, working as the head of visual merchandising at Calypso St. Barth for 10 years, then moving on to become a stylist and entrepreneur. Follow her Instagram (thebungalowbazaar) to see where she’ll be popping up next or host an event at your home. dana@thebungalowbazaar.com

Dior Café. In case you haven’t seen the snapshots of a frothy coffee drink with the iconic Dior logo in your Instagram feed, this pop-up café perched on the third-floor terrace of the Dior boutique in the Design District is an ideal spot to refuel after a spending spree or just to have a fashion “moment.” From pillows to the terrace floor, the quaint café is swathed in the brand’s French toile de Jouy print (which was recently modernized for the Dior Cruise 2019 collection) and the pastoral scene’s wild animals like giraffes, lions and monkeys are sprinkled among the lush greenery, making it ever so photo-worthy. The café offers cappuccinos and lattes, matcha tea, assorted fruits and French pastries—of course, you can’t leave without ordering the signature cappuccino that comes adorned with the Dior logo afloat in the foam. To this scene that feels like it’s straight out of a fashion magazine, come dressed to impress. 162 NE 39th St., Miami Design District

Crystal-clear Glamour. This month, French crystal maker Baccarat is opening a new luxury retail boutique along with Bbar & Lounge in the Design District, and we can promise you it will be an over-the-top glamorous experience. The bar and lounge will serve light food and drinks, and it will be an ideal spot for coffee, a power lunch, a glass of Champs after shopping, or a signature Baccarat cocktail before dinner. Inspired by the brand’s Bar & Lounge of the Baccarat Hotel in New York, this new concept first opened in Milan earlier this year with grand chandeliers, modern frescoes, and a bar counter covered in crystal tile, along with a collection of glasses, vintage cutlery and teapots—plus a menu that offers the chance to leave with a gift in a glorious red box. us.baccarat.com

Shopping Fuel. Tucked away in the back of Stitched, a bespoke men’s boutique in Brickell City Centre that focuses on custom suits, shirts and ties, is a handsome whiskey lounge meant for a shopping refuel. After you’re done with a fitting or picking out fabric for a custom piece, kick back on the tufted leather couch and chairs for complimentary whiskey tastings from brands like Basil Hayden, Hibiki and Makers Mark. And take note: Distinguished clients may be gifted one of the 72 scotch lockers in which to store their favorite spirits. Not a bad way to pass the time while designing your clothing. stitchedlifestyle.com

Designer Stay. A luxury hotel stay that comes with a designer loaner bag? Check us in for a staycation. SLS South Beach has partnered with Vivrelle, a luxury accessories membership club that provides access to designer handbags, jewelry, watches and diamonds (think Rent The Runway for designer accessories) to offer its hotel guests the opportunity to borrow designer daytime and evening handbags. During your stay, you’ll have complimentary access to covet-worthy brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Givenchy and more. Vivrelle members will also receive exclusive rates at SLS South Beach. slssouthbeach.com

Chic Chocolate. After sashaying through the luxe boutiques of Bal Harbour Shops, stop in Vasalissa Chocolatier for a fairytale experience. This beautiful store is filled with glass trays of chocolates playfully shaped like lips and hearts, delicate truffles, bonbons bursting with fruit, gourmet pastries, oversized macarons and more. If you’re looking for the perfect gift for a fashionista, choose a delicious milk and white chocolate handbag or a stiletto pump (which can be customized). While your treats are being tucked away in the store’s signature red-and-white gift boxes, grab a table to sip tea, coffee or a glass of bubbly. vasalissa.us
