As November winds down, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) North Miami will host two art-forward fetes to close out the month.

On November 6, MOCA North Miami unveiled two exhibits: “Andrea Chung: Between Too Late and Too Early” and “Smita Sen: Embodied.” These presentations explore motherhood, grief, dance, the Transatlantic slave trade, and healing through movement and memorializing, all done through film, collage, sculpture, and live performance.

To celebrate these two exhibitions, the museum will host a public reception during Miami Art Week on December 3. Kicking off at 8:30 p.m., guests will explore both exhibitions, enjoy live music, and savor local cuisine. Festivities will culminate with a live dance performance by Sen, which reflects themes central to her exhibition, including memory, grief, and spatial expression, offering a moving extension of her artistic practice. Tickets are $15-$20. RSVP here.

On November 29, Jazz at MOCA returns, featuring Ben Beals. Beals is one of South Florida’s most in-demand vocalists and pianists, with a sound reminiscent of Nat Cole, Chet Baker, and Mel Torme. Admission is free. RSVP here.
