Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables will host its signature Sip & Stroll Series, featuring an evening of Tahitian music and Hula, on August 18, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The evening includes access to Fairchild’s rainforest and plant conservatories, signature cocktails and specialty bar, food trucks, picnic baskets, and lawn games.
Guests can opt to lounge under the stars with a blanket and picnic basket, stocked with delicious bites based on the evening’s theme. This month’s basket will include an appetizer of Hawaiian coleslaw salad and Hawaiian salsa and chips; two selected entrees of pork pineapple roll, papaya and avocado salad, or Hawaiian pasta salad; and a Luau cupcake for dessert.
This monthly after hours event allows visitors to see the garden and its current exhibition, “Nature Connects,” in a new light. The exhibit is made entirely of Lego bricks and is on view to August 28.
Tickets are required for both members and non-members. Admission for non-members is $25 for adults and $12 for children ages 6-17. Admission for members is $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 6-17. Picnic baskets for two are available for $70.
Upcoming editions of Sip & Stroll are Parisian Jazz on September 15, featuring French jazz by Beltro Entertainment, and Spanish Flamenco on October 6. Click here for more information.
