Summer of La Rubia with Wynwood Brewing Company

Locals are invited to to celebrate the brewery's signature beer, La Rubia Blonde Ale, with a series of activities and events this summer

Wynwood Brewing Company is inviting locals and visitors to celebrate the season in honor of their signature brew, La Rubia Blonde Ale. During the “Summer of La Rubia,” guests can curate their days out Miami with a program of summer activations to highlight all of the places where locals have taken La Rubia along for the ride.

The official local beer of The Miami Heat and celebrity chef Adrianne Calvo’s favorite, La Rubia’s slight sweetness and mild bitterness pairs perfectly with summer spreads of seafood, salads, and chicken dishes, as well as with South Florida’s year-round sunshine and warm weather.

“When we created our signature La Rubia blonde ale, we had no idea how well it would be embraced by the community here in South Florida,” said founder Luis G. Brignoni Jr. “We wanted to make a beer that can be enjoyed by people of any background. Whether you’re planning a beach day with friends or a family backyard BBQ, this light, crisp blonde ale was designed with South Florida’s hot weather in mind.”

Locals and visitors alike can get involved in the following Summer of La Rubia (SOLR) events and activities:
  • SOLR Bike Trails: Ride through some of Miami’s renowned venues with MapMe–a collection of curated cycling routes from the Wynwood Brewing Company’s team on a digital map–to end up at a La Rubia Happy Hour.
  • SOLR Sunset Paddles: At select locations across Miami, the Wynwood Brewing Company team will organize Sunset Paddles to enjoy samplings of La Rubia and giveaways after a day of paddleboarding and kayaking.
  • SOLR Summer Bash and Anniversary Concert: The summer programming will culminate in an end-of-the-summer block party celebration on August 14. The celebration starts with the “Rubia Ride,” a bicycle ride from Wynwood to Key Biscayne. The festivities will continue at the 24th Street taproom, featuring exclusive-release beers from Wynwood Brewing Company and neighboring breweries, musical performances, and more.   • Taproom: La Rubia will be available at happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. every Sunday, all summer long at the Wynwood Brewing Taproom.
