Smorgasburg South Florida will host the return of its annual Asian Street Food Market: Mango Edition at Smorgasburg Fort Lauderdale May 30-31.
Presented with Cross Cultures by lifestyle journalist and culinary consultant Cheryl Tiu, the festival celebrates the diversity of Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) food, culture, and community through a lineup of food vendors, live performances, interactive activities, and mango-inspired culinary specials tying into South Florida’s mango season.
The festival will feature more than 45 food vendors, including more than 15 AAPI-owned concepts representing Burmese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Filipino, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisines. Guests can also expect more than 40 specialty mango dishes and drinks created exclusively for the event. A Mango Exchange will take place at the bar, where guests can bring mangos and exchange them for a complimentary drink while supplies last.
Throughout the weekend, enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, and cultural performances, including nightly Polynesian dance performances, silent karaoke on May 30 from 5 to 8 p.m., Hong Kong-style mahjong hosted by 888Mahjong on May 31, on more.
The free, open-to-the-public event will offer a variety of mango specials and activations. For the full schedule, visit smorgasburgsoflo.com.
