The City of North Miami has canceled the 4th of July Celebration out of respect for the families, victims, and residents affected by the Surfside tragedy. The event was scheduled for Sunday, July 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the MOCA Plaza in North Miami.

“We want to honor and respect those residents who have been impacted by this devastating tragedy,” said city manager Theresa Therilus, Esq. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families.”

The community is standing together with other Miami-Dade County municipalities in support of the neighboring Town of Surfside. To make a donation to the affected families in Surfside, please visit the Support Surfside website.
