For the first time in its eight-year history, the Design District’s Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA) is presenting a major exhibition to showcase its permanent collection. Dubbed “Fire Figure Fantasy,” the exhibit (on view now through October) spans nearly the entirety of the museum’s exhibition space and focuses on recent acquisitions that revolve around themes such as social justice, emerging technology, and global crises that “challenge and reconfigure museum institutions.”

Check out works ranging from Henry Taylor’s large-scale acrylic and charcoal canvas The Last Supper, which examines race and labor, to Andra Ursuta’s monumental Soft Power 2, an inflatable fist made of patchwork-quilted comforters that references protest and gender.
