Sure, the number three may be in the III Points Festival’s name. But in 2023, it’s about an even bigger number: 10.
That’s because 2023 marks a decade of the Wynwood counterculture event known for its large-scale murals, graffiti artists, culinary offerings, and (oh yeah) totally stellar musical acts. It’s all coming to you live October 20-21 at Mana Wynwood.
The fan-favorite festival has blossomed from a casual music shindig created by four friends into an audiovisual spectacle, attracting tens of thousands of fans and spanning six stages—from the laser light–dotted Mind Melt stage to the intimate, bohemian Sector 3 stage.
To honor the milestone, organizers are pulling out all the stops. This year’s lineup is the perfect hybrid of big-name headliners and ones to watch, representing musical genres from deep house to psych-rock to hip-hop.
“Being ahead of the curve hasn’t been easy and has required taking risks,” says III Points co-founder David Sinopoli. “We set out on a mission 10 years ago to build something different in Miami that the counterculture here can identify with. This initiative is flourishing because of all the artists and fans who have supported this idea.”
Among the must-see sets for 2023 are headliners like the “Godfather of Punk,” Iggy Pop; 30-year-old English record producer/singing phenom Fred Again; multigenerational producer Skrillex; futuristic dance-pop diva Grimes; and R&B-meets-jazz-master Black Coffee. For a can’t-miss throwback, check out hip-hop legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, who have timeless bangers like “Tha Crossroads” and “Thuggish Ruggish Bone.”
Sure, you can attend just a portion of the weekend and drop in to catch a favorite artist or two. But embrace the full two days and prepare to experience acts that are new to your ears (warranting weeks-long Spotify binges).
Two-day general admission tickets start at $199. GA+ passes cost $329, including expedited entry and air-conditioned bathroom access. For $529, you can score a VIP pass to enjoy exclusive amenities, gourmet food and drinks, and more. Any way you go, prepare to be mesmerized by the new Despacio party and sound system—a high-tech club concept that will boast 50,000 watts of sound and precision visuals for a more intimate and visceral dance floor experience.
