Bal Harbour Shops will host the worldwide launch of Fleurs de Villes Voyage, a floral art exhibition from the internationally acclaimed Fleurs de Villes, March 3-12. This year’s fete will pay homage to global destinations and female explorers.
Open to the public, the 10-day cultural event will showcase 28 fresh, luxurious, floral installations created by Miami’s top florists inspired by diverse global destinations from Venice to Japan. As a nod to Women’s History Month in March, Fleurs de Villes Voyage will also celebrate a series of inspirational women “en fleurs” by honoring their global adventures that changed the way we see the world.
March 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the floral festivities will kick off with the Wine, Women, and Shoes charitable event benefiting Breakthrough Miami and presented by Bal Harbour Shops ACCESS Membership and Rewards Program. The luncheon will feature a fashion show by Neiman Marcus, luxury auction, a chance to win gifts and experience behind the ACCESS Door, illustrious wine selection, and “Best in Shoe” contest.
At this year’s floral showcase, Bal Harbour Shops will unveil two mannequins inspired by Baroness Karen Von Blixen. Also known by her pen name, Isak Dinesen, Von Blixen wrote Out of Africa, a memoir that documented her 17 years running a coffee plantation outside Nairobi, Kenya. After her 1937 memoir, Von Blixen’s life story continued to inspire, from an award-winning biographical book about the Baroness, titled Isak Dinesen: The Life of a Storyteller, to the 1985 movie Out of Africa starring Meryl Streep.
Bal Harbour Shops’ BHS ACCESS will honor Amelia Earhart with a floral masterpiece. Additional mannequin sponsors within Bal Harbour Shops include Rene Caovilla, inspired by Venice; Hendrick’s Gin, inspired by its native Scotland; Château d’Esclans, inspired by Provence, France; The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, honoring the Titanic and the Astor family; The Ritz-Carlton, Bal Harbour, inspired by Casablanca; and Bal Harbour Village playing homage to its beloved home, Bal Harbour. Additional destinations and iconic celebrations represented will include Sevilla, Spain, Victoria Falls Zimbabwe, Africa, Venezuela, and Brazil’s Carnival.
The 10-day floral spectacular will be designed by local florists including: The Soirée Aesthetic; A Lavish Event Design; Alejandro Figuera Floral Artistry; Andrés Aguilar Designs; Aniska Creations; Gilded Group Decor; La Feterie by Juliana Schiffer; Jassi & Co Creative; Indigo Hues Designs; Luxury Flowers Miami; The Flora Buds; Blake Roses; Blooming Flower Art; Carolina Designs Miami; Blooms Social; Epic Floral Design; Flower Power; Flower Power Miami; Flowers by Lore; French Floral Designs; Le Stem Floral; Let’s Bloom Miami; Sandy Silvera Luxury Weddings & Events; and The Flower Girls Miami.
