The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami will host its inaugural Family Fest on October 1, from 12 to 3 p.m. The circus-themed day of fun take over the museum and spread out across the Miami Design District, features food and drinks, arts and crafts, performances, and activations. All proceeds from the event will support the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami’s educational and community initiatives.
Family-friendly creativity will abound in the day’s performances, which include acts by circus characters, Fantasy Theater jugglers, and a dazzling aerialist. Stop by booths for face painting, take a trolley ride loop through the District, and craft your own masterpiece at art project stations. Families are welcome to explore the Design District with activations throughout Palm Court, Paradise Plaza, Sweet Bird North, and the museum. Along the way, enjoy refreshments from Stop C’est Chou, have kid-friendly fun at State of Kid, and get a $25 kids’ haircut from Spot Barbershop (haircuts will benefit the museum). Grown-ups will enjoy refreshments in ICA Miami’s Sculpture Garden.
Tickets are $25 for individuals; $90 for a group of four; and $200 for a group of 10. Admission includes access to all activities, activations, performances, trolley rides, snacks, and refreshments. Children ages 2 and younger attend for free. Tickets are non-refundable. Click here to purchase.
Guests can pick up their wristbands at The Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami beginning September 21 during our regular hours. On event day, pick up wristbands at the museum beginning at 11 a.m. at the museum or Paradise Plaza Event Space (151 NE 41st Street 3rd Floor, Miami, FL 33137).
