The Wynwood Business Improvement District (BID) and Panther Coffee are launching the Wynwood Music Series, a monthly program that showcases free, live music.
The series will take place on select Thursday afternoons at Panther Coffee’s outdoor patio in the heart of Wynwood, pairing live performances with the neighborhood’s casual, creative atmosphere. Curated with the help of local musician Sean Edelson, the series gives residents and visitors an easy way to experience live music in a relaxed outdoor setting while also supporting local businesses.
The first performance will take place March 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Panther Coffee (2390 NW 2nd Ave.) and will feature Shira Lee and Rey Rodriguez. Lee’s music blends country twang, fingerpicked blues, and meditative melodies shaped by Middle Eastern musical traditions. She will be joined by Cuban singer, guitarist, and composer Rey Rodriguez, whose work draws on Cuba’s musical roots while weaving in blues, rock and roll, and classic country influences.
The event is free and open to the public; no tickets or reservations required. Additional performances are scheduled for April 16 and May 14.
