Improving someone’s quality of life is one of the greatest accomplishments Dr. Jessica Cismas has achieved as a general and cosmetic dentist. She has treated more than 57,000 patients in private practice and clinics throughout the United States and Canada during her 18-year career.

“My patients are like family,” Dr. Cismas says. “And like family, my patients deserve the best.”

Dr. Cismas began her professional career in Manhattan, after earning her doctor of medical dentistry in 2005 from the University of Montreal and completed her general practice residence in 2006 at McGill University. For 12 years, she worked in diverse dental offices to acquire a wide range of experiences while participating regularly in weekly dental group studies and attending more than double the required annual continuing education classes in order to stay abreast of the latest technology and innovative procedures in her field.

“Dentistry is a continually changing profession,” she explains. “Dentists must keep up to date or they cannot deliver the best dentistry. If I cannot use the best materials and procedures, I’d rather not do the dentistry.”

For the last six years, Dr. Cismas has practiced in South Florida. “I’m so thankful to discover such a beautiful community here in Aventura,” Dr. Cismas says. “I’ve been to many communities, but this one is so close, warm, and is surrounded by top professionals. Many doctors and professionals come to us because they appreciate good, quality dentistry.”

With good quality comes longevity, which is key when performing her two true passions: cosmetic dentistry and full-mouth rehabilitation. “Whether it’s for the 50-year-old woman who never learned to smile because she was so ashamed of her teeth, or the heavy tooth-grinder man that broke most of his teeth and cannot eat a nice meal, good quality dentistry can transform a person’s life forever,” Dr. Cismas says.
