Bal Harbor Shops will enchant visitors with spectacular Miami Art Week extras this winter.

In keeping with Bal Harbour Shops’ tropical, open-air setting, celebrated floral artist Sandra de Ovando will create a custom sculpture with more than 600 Vanda orchids framed within 1,000 bamboo floral stems. An influential force in New York’s design milieu, Ovando’s magnificent boutique has grown into a New York City, Hamptons, and forthcoming Palm Beach store. Visitors can admire the exclusive 16-foot artistic sculpture between November 30 and January 3 in Bal Harbour Shops’ Center Courtyard.

The retail destination will present “Sonic Sculpture” from November 30 through December 23. The installation will immerse shoppers into a world of sensual sound amplification with turntables and amplifiers by Jonathan Weiss, founder and CEO of Oswalds Mill Audio (OMA). The shops will collaborate with Miami’s SoundluxAudio to present “Real Listening” musical programming by the area’s prestigious DJs.

The shops will round out the art-forward offerings with hand-illustrated barricades by New Yorker cover artist Reyna Noriega. The artist will debut her largest commission to date at Bal Harbour Shops this December.
