Alexander McQueen’s flagship store in the Miami Design District will showcase the fashion house’s new design concept, conceived by creative director Sarah Burton in collaboration with Chilean architect Smiljan Radić. Lovers of the iconic British brand can shop a selection of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and accessories merchandised among McQueen-clad mannequins that illustrate the narrative of the runway collections. Butterflies will take center stage in a capsule collection of women’s wear and accessories. Shoppers can peruse rings, cuffs, hoop earrings, and necklaces embellished with the winged creatures sculpted in antique gold; a satin box clutch with an elaborate handle consisting of more butterflies and soft-blue sweet pea flowers; and a black leather belt with a crystal-encrusted buckle. The capsule comprises three dresses featuring a 3D violet on jacquard and a sweet-pea print. The store is set to open in July.
