Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables is dialing up the holiday enchantment with the unveiling of A Very Merry Garden, a series of activities taking place now through January. The winter wonderland boasts a sleigh-load of festive family events guaranteed to spread holiday cheer. Read on for the list of fun:
Reindeer Round-up: Through January 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, locate Santa’s playful reindeer, hidden throughout the garden. Find them all and win fantastic prizes!
Santa’s Garden: On December 10, 17, and 24, at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. all days, meet-and-greet with Santa while enjoying festive treats.
Storytime with Mrs. C: Cozy up for holiday stories with Mrs. Claus, all while sipping on delicious homemade hot cocoa from the Bistro at the Shop. Storytimes are December 9, 16, 22, 23, and 24, at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
Letters to Santa: Now through Christmas Eve, write and send your wishlist directly from Santa’s post office, located in The Shop.
Snow Flurries: Experience the magic of snow flurries in the Children’s Garden every weekend at 1, 2, and 3 p.m.
Jingles & Jazz: On December 23 and 24, from 2 to 5 p.m., get into the holiday spirit with festive music at the Lakeside Area amd Glasshouse Cafe, adding a joyful note to your weekend celebrations.
Sip & Stroll: Enjoy a starlit night, wander through the garden, and indulge in Holiday Jingles & Jazz, complete with festive food, cocktails, and libations on December 5 and 12, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Dog Date Stroll: Take a morning walk through the garden with your four-legged friend on December 17, from 8 to 10 a.m. Take your pup to meet Santa beginning at 9 a.m.
