LA GOULUE

LA GOULUE One of the few true blue French bistros in these parts, La Goulue has a je ne sais quoi about it unlike any other restaurant located in a shopping mall anywhere. Granted, it is in the Bal Harbour Shops, so the environs are ideal for this upscale eatery. It’s popular among shoppers at lunchtime, who can take a break on the patio and tuck into an al fresco midday meal, whether it’s an omelet, charcuterie plate, smoked salmon club or tuna nicoise salad you crave. At night, a chic, romantic vibe takes over, perfect for couples or groups of friends to enjoy over dinner, perhaps Trout Amandine or Homemade Duck Confit. If you go, don’t miss the Cheese Souffle and the sublime homemade French fries, but then again, save room for dessert—you won’t want to leave this life without having tried the Raspberry Pistachio Mini Cakes, served with ice cream and coulis. Mon Dieu!
