The Miami International Art Fair returns, in a new location and with a new installation.
The third edition of the Miami International Art Fair (MIA) is back January 12th-16th, and this year it takes place in a new location: the downtown entertainment district. MIA 2012 will be held aboard the 228-foot megayacht exhibition venue SeaFair, which will be dockside during the event at the Intercontinental Hotel Dock at 100 Chopin Plaza in Miami. New this year: the premiere of “Sculpture Miami,” a waterside installation and sculpture exhibition in Bayfront Park, where more than 30 large-scale works by major international sculptors will be on public display December 5th-March 12th. Both established contemporary and emerging artists will be represented by works composed of contemporary, cutting-edge art of all media, including photography, painting, mixed-media, sculpture, installation and video.
